Virtual Reality has been named the future of technology. But some companies think it’s more than just technology; they believe VR will one day become a way of life. Sony has recently announced their 2nd VR Headset. The VR2 will have 4K HDR visuals, eye tracking, USB-C charging, and 3D audio. The retail price will be $550.

It’s hard to believe that Meta would change their whole business for a fluke. VR is here to stay. The first Playstation VR was released in 2016. It might’ve been too soon for the concept to really take off. I think right now is the time that we will see revolutionary tech, and the perfect time for a release.

Playstation VR2 Release Date

The Playstation VR2 will release on February 22nd, 2023. You are able to register for pre-orders here. Pre-orders will start on November 15th. I do wonder how this will match up against the Meta Quest Pro (which has a hefty price tag of $1,499). It’s good to see companies entering into virtual reality though, as I do see very far horizons for the technology.
