If you haven’t heard by now, news was released about 2 years ago about Crunchyroll and Funimation merging together. Unfortunately, this means the end of the legendary Funimation platform. Also, with this merger comes a price increase of Crunchyroll from $54 a year to $99. Bad news for anime fans that bought digital media through Funimation, it seems that they will not transfer over to Crunchyroll and will be lost. The official merger & the end of Funimation will be April 2nd, 2024.
