Artificial Intelligence has been seriously upgraded and sent to the public. The pace at which it’s being used has surpassed previous predictions. OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been the main talking point so far with many different controversial things. Kids on school will always find ways to cheat, no matter what. But, ChatGPT so effortlessly can write an essay quickly and accurately which has had educators trying to find solutions. In New York City, ChatGPT has already been banned from public schools; although, is that really stopping anything?
The technology is so impressive that it’s hard to decipher whether a human wrote the prompts, or a robot. Some educators are on the side of the fence where they think that ChatGPT makes students be more creative. On the other side of the fence, educators want it banned indefinitely. It goes further than just school, too.
AI is being used for blog posts, music, and even legal advice now. A song with Drake and The Weeknd has been trending even though it’s completely made by AI, without their consent. I’ve heard tracks of Rihanna, Kanye, Lil Uzi Vert and more that have been 100% AI generated. The scary part is, it’s hard to tell that it’s AI even in the early stages of the program. This all begs the question: when is it all too far?
