A basketball coach played by Woody Harrelson gets removed from his coaching job of a minor-league team. After a run in with the law, he receives a court order to fulfill the role of a coach to a team of disabled players. In this heartwarming film, we see the underdog team go farther than anyone’s expected. The movie is titled Champions. This movie is a remake of the Spanish movie “Campeones” which came out in 2018. It won many awards and was loved by many people as well.

Woody Harrelson did a recent interview with the New York Times which he discussed the filming of the movie. He explained that the kindness and warmth of the disabled actors caught him by surprise because he hadn’t had many experiences with disabled people in the past. “it was probably the most enjoyable experience I ever had making a movie”.
