Adult Swim has announced a new anime series called Lazarus, which will be directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. Watanabe is a renowned anime director who is best known for his work on Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Space Dandy. Fans are very excited to see that this director has a new project, because of the massive success of his other works. Studio MAPPA will be working on this project.

Lazarus is set in the year 2052, after a miracle cure-all drug called Hapuna has been developed. Hapuna has eradicated all disease and pain, leading to an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity. However, the drug’s creator, Dr. Skinner, has mysteriously vanished. The story follows a young woman named Eve who is tasked with finding Dr. Skinner and uncovering the truth behind Hapuna. Along the way, she will encounter a variety of characters, including a group of rebels who are fighting against the government’s control of Hapuna.

Lazarus Anime Release Date
