There have been several findings on Earth that indicate that there were dinosaurs here before us. Although, it seemed that they just vanished off the face of the Earth. There were a lot of theories and controversy as to what happened, but researchers at University of Michigan have discovered what actually happened.
What Really Happened To Dinosaurs?
Around 66 million years ago, an astroid hit Earth. This astroid was over 8 miles long and apparently struck in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The impact caused a tsunami so powerful that it’s 30,000 times larger than the Indian Ocean tsunami which is one of the largest ever recorded. The wave was around 2.8 miles upon initial impact. All of this led to the dinosaurs becoming extinct, in 48 hours most of the world was drowned by tsunami waves or killed by rocks falling from the sky. This destroyed plants, and animal species as well co-existing with the dinosaurs. The same astroid that wiped out dinosaurs created the continents as we know them today, you can read about that here.
