Harmony Korine has secretly been directing a film with A24 & Travis Scott. Back in August 2021, it was announced that Travis & A24 had a production deal together with speculation on the project being named “Dystopia”.
The A24 project is now allegedly complete. Interestingly enough, the whole thing was shot in infrared which is very different from the norm. The film is slated to be fully action-oriented as well. While the idea, and names attracted to it bring promise; it’s getting blocked from releasing by Travis Scott.
Harmony Korine has made some wildly unorthodox and controversial films such as Spring Breakers and KIDS. He’s known to go as far as he can with actors and push their boundaries past the glass ceiling. It wouldn’t surprise me that Travis feels uncomfortable in releasing a film (his acting debut) in which he’s vulnerable. Though, he could just be blocking it until he releases his new album.
