Squid Game was one of Netflix’s biggest hits, if not the biggest hit. It’s awesome to see shows from overseas getting popular in the US. The show was very exciting, and thrilling; which is all I really look for in a show anyways. Every episode kept me on the edge of my seat, with games that were very disturbing but entertaining to watch play out.
The show is the epitome of greed, by basically putting greed up against greed in a battle for the title of the greediest. It does play into the natural greed that we have as humans, and exploits it to the fullest extent. Again, it’s entertaining to watch, just disturbing as well (you’ve been warned).
I wasn’t sure that a second season would happen due to how the first season ended. It felt like it was going to be a one and done. Although, the show just confirmed that they will be airing a season 2 on Netflix. Director and Executive Producer Hwang Dong-hyuk penned a letter to fans stating that season 2 is on the horizon.
