Jordan Peele has been a director that has delivered a pair of unusual controversial movies. In Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, he tackled themes of racism and horror together in a unique movie. His second film, US, was a strange film about…. doppelgängers. The film truly was horrifying, and had gained a ton of traction from the popularity of his first film. Now, Jordan Peele is returning this month with his 3rd film NOPE.
NOPE is going to be a film about aliens and UFO’s on a ranch. Not too much information has been released about the movie, yet there has been a trailer released that looks promising. This could be the 3rd hit-movie by Jordan Peele. His expectations are already set very high from the clout of the first two films. It is in the Horror-Epic genre as noted by Peele in an interview, which will be interesting to see. Also, the cameras used in the film are all official IMAX Film cameras, which officially makes the movie made for theaters. NOPE is releasing this month on the 22nd, you can click here to get tickets.
Currently, there is a replication of the NOPE set on Virtual Reality called Monkeypaw Productions. It’s available on Horizon Worlds on the Oculus Quest or Meta Quest. I explored this world yesterday actually, and it’s definitely something cool to see (creepy too). There are a ton of hidden Easter Eggs within the realm of the world.
