It’s no secret that MTV has lost the sauce over the years. Hit reality shows which used to be the lore of MTV have now started popping up on other networks. There’s only one show that airs almost all day every single day: Ridiculousness. The idea of a reaction show with Rob Dyrdek as the host is not the problem. The problem is that MTV sacrificed their identity for easy cash.
The real reason why MTV gave Rob Dyrdek a hell of a deal and are willing to air the show all day is because the show has a very low overhead (which means extremely high profit). Of course this works out for Dyrdek, but the rest of us got the middle finger. MTV fans were left in a vacant home for the past decade, and it’s because they just want to cut costs to the bare minimum.
