The iPhone is one of the greatest inventions ever made, by Steve Jobs. The exclusive features on the iPhone make it much more profound than the actual phone. Are people fans of the actual iPhone or just iMessage? The blue texts, emoji’s, app store, there’s just too many exclusive features. How could a rival compete?
Android phones have lost so many customers due to the reoccurring iPhone buyers. A better camera will not lure in new customers anymore, it won’t be that simple (for android, at least). What android needs is exclusivity, exactly like the iPhone has. This will be tough, as android has many different phone brands and models tied to them. But, it’s going to take a very original move to trump the throne. Copying iMessage won’t work to convert people back to android phones.
This brings us to the exciting future of tech. Phones as we know them today will evolve into something greater sooner than later. In this new wave, i’m positive that an android phone will capitalize on this before the iPhone. Still, that’s not enough. iPhone will eventually release their version of the same tech and their advantage will be lost. So, what do people need? People need to feel like they are missing out. FOMO is the buzzword of the decade, make something desirable and different and customers will flock; possibly leaving their iPhones behind. What do you think it will take to beat the iPhone?
