Virgil Abloh is a legend in the streetwear industry. He founded the high-end streetwear brand OFF-WHITE. I caught wind of OFF-WHITE around the same time A$AP Rocky was popping off in 2012. He has worked closely with Kanye, interned for Fendi, and has been a head designer at Louis Vuitton. Unfortunately, Virgil passed away in November 2021.
Virgil left us something behind that can be very helpful for people trying to start a brand, it’s the perfect roadmap. It’s a website that Virgil created called FREE-GAME. It goes in depth of all the steps you need to undergo to create a streetwear brand. It can give anyone that reads a real head start on their brand’s journey. From digitally creating designs, to shooting a lookbook, to securing a trademark, this guide has it all.
As a streetwear creator, I know how difficult it can be starting out and trying to find solid information. I respect that Virgil gave everyone the opportunity to go over the whole process, you rarely see that nowadays, lots of gatekeepers. It’s truly a comprehensive and detailed guide, full of value. Click the link below to head over to the FREE GAME website. Thank you Virgil, may you Rest In Peace.
