Wow, right? Yeah, a cat really did serve a 20 year term as Mayor in the Alaskan town Talkeetna from 1997-2017.
Stubbs was the name of the Mayor-cat. He had an office that was used as a tourist attraction called Nagley’s Store. Polling high during every election, Stubbs went on a 20 year run, then eventually passed away in 2017.
