The Last Of Us started out as a video game that came out on the Playstation 3 in 2013. When I first played the game, I thought it was cinematic from the start. It’s more-like a movie that you play through, it didn’t feel like a video game. The game has constantly gotten remasters over the years as consoles evolve. But now, The Last Of Us has a TV adaption coming to HBO.
Synopsis
The Last Of Us video game is about a post-apocalyptic world where people turned into “the infected”. These creatures are dangerous and will attack people. Although, all hope is not lost. The cure to this deadly disease is held within the blood of a girl named Ellie. In a nutshell, the story follows Ellie being escorted across the United States by a man named Joel to make it to a hospital.
Will It Be The Same Story As The Video Game?
The TV adaption of The Last Of Us will follow the same story as the video game did. Rotten Tomatoes says that it’s expected that the show will follow the plot of the first game. Although, you can also expect that it won’t be 100% synonymous and minor changes should also be expected.
Release Date
Currently, the only information we have on The Last Of Us TV adaption is that it’s releasing in 2023. Also, it will be streamed exclusively on HBO Max. Want to watch the trailer? Check it out here on YouTube.
