The Last Kingdom is one of my favorite Viking shows. The show follows Osberd, an unlucky child that takes on the name of his eldest brother Uhtred after he and his father is killed by the Danes. Uhtred is forced to live be a part of the Danes to survive as the son of a nobleman from Northumbria. This show is highly entertaining, with very few dull moments. If you have seen the anime Vinland Saga, you will recognize some of the characters in this real life adaption series of the Viking era in the 800’s-900’s CE.

The series announced a movie will release to finish off the series, which will be titled “Seven Kings Must Die“. If the movie is anything like the show, the pacing will be incredible. The movie will pick up where Season 5 left off.

The Last Kingdom Movie: Seven Kings Must Die, will release April 14th, 2023 on Netflix. The trailer is still yet to be released.
