Sword Art Online came into the anime world asking the question: what would happen if when people died in video games, they died in real life. Some Shounen anime have done similar arcs such as Greed Island in Hunter x Hunter. Though in the world of Gun Gale Online, a game made after SAO (that didn’t put your life on the line), a university student becomes extremely entertained by the game after playing it once. She ends up climbing the ranks in the show, and ultimately surpassing her peers as her username LLEN. Karen (her real name), finds a life outside of her own in which she cherishes.

Most people (including me), thought that the anime ended and there would be no more story to cover. Although, to everyones surprise a Season 2 has just been announced!
