Congratulations to those that have just recently graduated, or recently completed any type of long-term goal. I’m writing this to you. This is to anyone who’s ever completed anything, but it’s something that you already know. This is only serving as a reminder.
To recent graduates, you’ve just completed a big step in your life. You have the right to celebrate, and be excited for your accomplishment(s). While it may feel like everything is coming to an end, this is actually truly only the beginning. Now is the time to use everything you’ve learned to create something for yourself. Now is not the time to take a break, it’s time to start working harder than ever before. School is just preparation for life outside of it, we can’t let ourselves lose the discipline we kept up for so many years.
The end of every goal, either complete or incomplete, marks a new start. Use that new start as fuel to start your engine again. Celebrate the wins, but never too long to break that focus you worked so hard to maintain. Everything in life is work, and will always be work. Try to create a life that’s comfortable for you, while actively still curious and learning.
The end should lead to the beginning of another path, every time. If endings make you feel lost, it’s a good time to start planning. It’s never too late to start this race, because it never actually ends.
