Happy New Year!! We are finally in the year of 2024. I hope everyone has had a great New Year’s Day. This article is going to review some of Korruption Studios entertainment favorites in the year of 2023. Thank you for being a reader, enjoy.
Attack on Titan Finale Episode
The best show of all time came to an end last year. Attack on Titan Final Chapters (Part 1 & 2) both released and were mind-blowing and extremely. While it was very bittersweet to see it end, it was beautifully done. Without spoiling, the show is still the greatest of all time with a wonderful sendoff for the fans. There will never be anything to compare to this masterpiece; and I’m completely fine with that. Dedicate your hearts!
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was one of the craziest arcs in all of anime. Jujutsu Kaisen was good before, but this arc has stamped it as great. The highs and lows worked in tandem to deliver one of the greatest products of all anime. Hearts out to the staff at MAPPA for working diligently week after week and still delivering a great episode every time even while under immense pressure.
Fortnite
In 2023 Fortnite was incredible, exceeding everybody’s expectations. Let’s start with Zero Build; even though the game-mode released in 2022, Zero Build continuously increased in users in 2023 and even brought a lot of old players back. In 2023 Fortnite released the OG map from the first Season. If Zero Build didn’t bring you back, the OG map definitely did. Fortnite experienced it’s highest traffic ever the day that the old map was brought back. Also, the 3 new game-modes that released towards the end of 2023 are absolutely killing it. Lego Fortnite, Festival, and Rocket Racing are all really good and have just as many if not more playing these modes than Battle Royale.
South Park Pandaverse
The South Park Pandaverse special was hilarious. It was truly one of the funniest episodes of South Park ever made. It played on the fact that many (adults) can’t fix things on their own, and in this universe the repairmen were the rich ones. Alternatively, Cartman switches places with a black woman and something is going on at Disney. It’s pretty funny all around, I’d recommend the watch.
Rick and Morty Season 7
People were anxious to see what Season 7 of Rick and Morty would be like. This is because the creator of the show got axed, and new voice actors replaced Rick and Morty. While this sounds like a recipe for disaster, it was a really good season! Ton of laughs and witty jokes, I enjoyed pretty much every episode of this new season. It’s safe to say that Rick and Morty didn’t decrease in quality.
Squid Game: The Challenge
Squid Game, the Korean Netflix show, got so popular that a reality show spinoff released. I have to say, that it was very entertaining. We saw some impressive plot twists and bold players that made the show enjoyable and a fun watch. It’s great to binge because of the cliff-hangers and I would recommend anyone that liked the original Squid Game to go over to Netflix and check it out.
Vinland Saga Season 2
Vinland Saga Season 2 wasn’t what anyone expected. Although, it turned out to be one of my personal favorites of this year. It’s definitely a slower pace than usual, which may throw people off. But the character building, and emotional stress throughout the season shines a new light on the show. Season 2 gives a great message: that change is possible, for anyone. It’s a beautiful season that gets a 5/5 from me.
Beau Is Afraid
Beau is Afriad released in 2023 and this movie is seriously one of the trippiest movies i’ve ever seen. That said, there really wasn’t a dull moment. Every minute something bizarre was happening and while it was very confusing it was a solid movie. If you want to be mindf*cked for 3 hours, watch it!
Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc
The Swordsmith Village Arc of Demon Slayer premiered in theaters 2023. Demon Slayer is always going to be one of those shows that consistently looks incredible. Besides the animation, I really enjoyed the storyline of the Swordsmith Village Arc. It was a great weekly anime to watch and the movie will be coming (very) soon.
Tokyo Revengers
Last but definitely not least we have Tokyo Revengers, which was one of my favorite anime of 2023. The crybaby hero and the Tokyo Manji Gang take on new rivals: Tenjiku. The arc starts on a high and it doesn’t stop, every episode is a banger. This season of Tokyo Revengers was close to a 5/5. Really enjoyed the Izana character and the “Big 4” in Tenjiku. This show just keeps on giving surprises, and I’m not complaining! Tokyo Revengers is very underrated and under-appreciated; I recommend everyone to give it a chance.
