In the age of the remake, I would imagine that things are getting more difficult to re-create. Although, it seems like creators are still being innovative and decided to remake a classic kids TV show. Scooby Doo is being reimagined in a new show, titled “Velma“. The kicker here is that Scooby Doo will not be seen in this new adult show. At this year’s Comic-Con, the Velma showrunner Charlie Grandy explained that “the decision to omit Scooby-Doo from the series was an attempt to differentiate the adult show from the family friendly property that inspired it.“

“Velma” Synopsis & Release Date

The show will be following the origin story of Velma Dinkley. You can expect blood, gore, and sexual themes as this show is made for adults, not kids. Also, some characters have gotten reimagined as well with completely new looks! It is an original story and will be released exclusively on HBO Max as an animated series.
