The beloved ghost-busting franchise returns to theaters this week with the sequel to 2021’s hit, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” titled “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”. The official synopsis reveals that the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes a powerful evil force. This time, the team must not only contend with unfriendly phantoms, but also a looming ice age threatening the world. The film promises to be a thrilling mix of supernatural scares and laugh-out-loud comedy, a tradition the franchise is known for.

Fans will be excited to see the return of the young heroes from Afterlife, Phoebe and Trevor, alongside their grandfather, the legacy Ghostbuster himself, Winston Zeddemore (played by the returning Ernie Hudson). Director Gil Kenan, who helmed the first sequel, co-wrote the script again with Jason Reitman, son of the original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman. Be prepared, there will be cameos.
