We’ve all heard of the “Florida Man” meme. If you’ve been somewhere living under a rock, I’ll explain. You turn on the news (in Florida) and see something like “Florida man catches alligator and lives with him in his home”. It’s basically a joke about how people from Florida are some wild ones with some wild stories. There’s a new show out right now that plays off of this meme, titled: Florida Man.

Florida Man synopsis: Mike Valentine is a struggling ex-cop forced to return to his home state of Florida to find a Philly mobster’s runaway girlfriend. What should be a quick gig becomes a spiraling journey into buried family secrets and an increasingly futile attempt to do the right thing.
