Apple livestreamed an event today called “Far Out” showcasing their new products and updates. This was one of the bigger iPhone showcases, with four models being shown at the event. In this article, we will go through all of the important releases and updates.
Apple Watch Series 8
The first release i’d like to discuss is the Apple Watch Series 8. This new series of Apple Watch comes with a very reliable temperature sensor to regulate your body temperature. Also, there are fertility tracking tools embedded into the watch; helping all future mothers out with their pregnancy process.
Apple Watch Ultra
The Apple Watch Ultra is the most capable Apple Watch yet. It’s made with titanium casing, so you can bet this won’t get damaged easily. It is also water resistant, with a built in GPS. This is the biggest (and brightest) Apple Watch made so far. Get more details on this product here.
AirPods Pro 2
The 2nd generation of AirPods have also arrived. These will feature a new immersive experience like never done before. They use a special designed H2 chip to boost performance and give the ultimate sounds. The microphone on these AirPods is now facing inwards to deliver a more natural sound. iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Plus
The iPhone 14 will be releasing this year. The phone will be 6.1 inches and will have the same chip as last years iPhone 13 Pro. It features a 12 million pixel (MP) camera on the phone. There will be a new auto-focus feature, and video stability feature included as well. There will also be a major upgrade to low-light photos. Retail price for the iPhone 14 is $799. Retail price for the iPhone 14 Plus is $899.
iPhone 14 Pro & iPhone 14 Pro Max
The iPhone 14 Pro is an upgrade from the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. This new iPhone features a ton of new safety features designed to save lives. The lens dominates other models (Base and Plus) with a 48 MP camera. Also, this has a new feature called “Dynamic Island“. Dynamic Island is explained as a way to get notifications without interruptions by having a bubble-spaced shape at the top of the screen. The Super-Retina XDR display is 2x brighter in sunlight than previous models. Also, SOS and crash detection features are added to this iPhone. The iPhone Pro Max has the same features as the iPhone Pro with additional battery life and a larger display. The iPhone Pro Max has a 6.7 inch display while the iPhone Pro has a 6.1 inch display. iOS 16
iOS 16 is the next big update to hit Apple products. In this update, there will be some significant changes to the lock screen. You will be able to customize your lock screen with widgets, different fonts, and more! You will also be able to create multiple lock screens for use. Live Activities is a new feature that allows us to keep track of live events straight from the lock screen, making it easier to check scores of games, etc. This will also be the update that allows users to unsend and edit iMessage’s.
