Earlier this week, news hit that a giant sinkhole had been inspected in South China. As crazy as it sounds, a preserved forest was found in a sinkhole. In China, these sinkholes are called Tiankeng which translates to “Heavenly pit”. It’s somewhat bizarre to see an ancient forest unveiled 630 feet deep underground. It brings up questions about the world as we know it.
It’s not yet discovered if any wildlife is down there, but it isn’t completely ruled out either. What kinds of species could be lurking down there? Do you believe them to be different than the ones on the surface?
